Call Me Mate

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by Call Me Mate, including removal, packing, and related services in Adelaide, South Australia. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms.


1. Booking and Confirmation

All bookings must be confirmed via our online system, phone, or email.

Quotes are valid for a limited time and are based on the information provided at the time of booking.

Any changes to the move date, address, or items must be communicated promptly.


2. Payment Terms

Payment is due on the day of your move unless otherwise agreed (e.g., deposit for large or interstate moves).

Accepted payment methods: cash, credit/debit card, or bank transfer.

We reserve the right to cancel or delay a move if payment is not received as agreed.


3. Pricing and Fees

Our pricing is transparent, with no hidden charges.

Weekend moves may incur slightly higher rates due to staffing and overtime costs.

Additional charges may apply for extra services, including but not limited to:

Packing/unpacking services beyond the agreed scope

Special handling of bulky or fragile items

Delays caused by inaccessible or unsafe conditions


4. Responsibilities of the Client

Ensure all items are ready for transport at the agreed start time.

Provide accurate access details, parking, and any permits required for the move.

Remove or clearly label hazardous items that cannot be transported by law (e.g., flammable materials, explosives).

Inform us of stairs, lifts, or narrow access areas in advance.


5. Responsibilities of Call Me Mate

Provide trained and professional movers to handle your belongings safely.

Use protective equipment (blankets, straps, shrink wrap) for furniture and fragile items.

Ensure your move is insured in accordance with our coverage policy.


6. Liability and Insurance

Call Me Mate is fully insured, covering loss or damage caused by our employees or contractors.

Liability is limited to the declared value of items or as covered under our insurance policy.

We are not liable for pre-existing damage or items not disclosed before the move.


7. Stairs, Elevators, and Access

Stairs or lifts may increase the time required for your move.

While we do not charge a surcharge for stairs, additional time may incur higher overall costs.

Clients are encouraged to minimise small items via stairs to speed up the move.


8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made 48 hours or more before the scheduled move will receive a 100% refund of the deposit.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the scheduled move will result in the deposit being forfeited. The deposit will be retained as a cancellation/rescheduling fee.

This policy applies to all moves, including interstate, fixed price jobs, and standard jobs.


9. Electronic Communications

By providing your contact information, you consent to receive:

Essential notifications about your move

Marketing and promotional messages, including offers and updates

Communication via phone, SMS, or email

You can opt-out of marketing messages by replying STOP.


10. Use of Data

Your personal data may be shared with employees, contractors, and IT/database service providers solely to deliver our services.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Data may also be used to improve advertising via Facebook or Google platforms.


11. Limitation of Liability

We take all reasonable care, but Call Me Mate is not responsible for:

Delays caused by factors outside our control (traffic, weather, natural events)

Pre-existing damage to items

Issues caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Australia.
